It's been TOO longs since my last post! I have all these unfinished drawings laying around, almost ready to post, but I can't find the time to properly finish them... I must stop giving priority to paid work every now and then so I can do some more drawings just for fun!

Hello ^-^ Here's one of the most happy drawings I have ever worked on :) It's not finished yet, hopefully I will be able to hold on to the happy-vibe while finishing the inking and the colors...!

Oh and I'm in ImagineFX Magazine! It's a sci-fi-fantasy-digital-art-magazine and they apparently like my stuff, I wish they'd sent me an email though because if a friend hadn't told me I would have never known I was in it.. I never even heard of the magazine but it seems pretty popular, so great unexpected exposure!

So, it's been a very long time since my last post.... I know. But: I intend to make more fun drawings and post them without thinking too much about the quality and such (I'm almost never satisfied), and make more drawings just for fun!

Two more BG-paintings I made in between other projects, I'm not particularly happy with them but they're still worth posting so they have a chance to 'see daylight'. I wish I could post more art but it's under NDA :(
Oh and recently I started making paint-paintings -like with actual paint- for a change, I will post them soon, including some work-in-progress if I don't forget to take pictures!

And here it is, a bit spooky and.. sadly I'm not as satisfied with it as I was with the one in the previous post.

I can clean it up later and maybe adjust some small things (like the tree on the left), but I'm still happy with it so here is the 'rough' version!

I love the way they sniff around, their shy and cautious moves, cute teeth and paws, actually I love all animals but I feel rats are underestimated; each has it's own personality and they are very funny and social beings... so more rat drawings are coming up!

I'm thinking of making a printed series of these kind of drawings, please let me know if you like the idea :)

Hopefully I will finish these.. The green sketch is digital, the sketch at the bottom is pencil, both ways have their own advantages. I try to keep up traditional work as well but I do miss my trusty Ctrl-z ! I sometimes find my left hand make a 'undo-move' whilst working on paper O_o

Shouting men?

I don't know what it is, sometimes I'm in a rut and don't draw anything at all, and sometimes I get these weird urges to draw one particular subject.

Normally it's fluffy animals, fat elves, girls, castles, skinny people, but now it's... shouting muscular men. I have no idea why. Probably because it's fun to draw and I can practice drawing some muscles :)

These are some of my big examples of perfect design. I adore Chuck Jones' work and the background art of these cartoons too. It makes you believe there is another universe, I don't know how to explain it, I probably shouldn't even try to do that, but like Chuck said: It's about bringing credence to the impossible :)

I just started using Corel Painter but it's not as easy as I thought it would be. So I now switch techiniques between Photoshop, Painter and pencils&ink.

I am not sure why I drew Meg Ryan, I accidentaly came across a photo of hers and got this image my head. I did her portrait in Painter while the drawing of Helen is done in Photoshop, which I think worked out better.

I made Agent Smith in real ink with shading in Photoshop, I should add a tie or something I think...

And, being a huge fan of rodents, I made a drawing of a rabbit as well :)

I forgot to post these too, I thought lets try a background, I tend to focus more on characters but I like drawing backgrounds as well :) More backgrounds coming up later!

I was 'inspired' by Bob Ross while painting this picture, I keep repeating his wise words "We don't make mistakes, we make happy accidents!"
I have lots of happy accidents...

I don't really like the worm and the fact I didn't ink these, but the feet of the frog are ok.

Here are some -relatively- new drawings, one of them matches the balloon girl in a previous post! I did that one with ink, which I prefer to photoshop or illustrator lines, but I always mess up my first try because I'm too messy I guess, black stains everywhere, photoshop is 'safer' but less organic...
